The La Trobe Three

I did six weeks in Pentridge along with two comrades (both of whom did longer than me) for contempt of court in 1972. We were punished for our campus activism and revolutionary politics. We were known as 'the La Trobe Three'.

Back then, I think most of us identified with rock music and had our cultural heroes. Mine was Eric Burdon. I wrote this article about how his music comforted me in prison.

It was published in the 'Eric Burdon Connection Newsletter' in the US many years ago.
